Super Green Smoothie Bowl
A great introduction to the wonderful world of smoothie bowls! This will leave you full, satisfied and energised!
GREEN ENERGY BOWL
2 cups baby spinach
1 frozen banana
½ Lebanese cucumber
1 medjool date (remove the pip!)
5 Brazil nuts or a small handful of raw cashews
2 tbsp. flaked coconut
1 tsp spirulina powder
½ cup almond milk
¾ cup water
½ cup ice
SUPER TOPPINGS IDEAS
Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, figs, grapes, pomegranate seeds, banana, apple, granola, muesli, passionfruit, kiwi fruit, coconut chips.
1. Blend up all smoothie ingredients in a high powered blender. Pour into a bowl and top with fresh fruit, granola or muesli.
NOTE: If you have not used spirulina powder before, it can smell and look quite strong. You only need a small amount in your smoothies. Spirulina is extremely easy for the body to digest and has amazing immune boosting, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. In addition to this it is also said to improve your mental capacity, fight cancer and help the body to detox. The health benifits of spirulina go on and on, making it a great addition to any smoothie you whip up.
