The ultimate breakfast porridge that takes you back to the days of creamed rice served to you by your granmother, but without the stodge and heaviness of rice. My ultimate favourite!
100 g Farro
300 ml milk
2-3 tsp caster sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Green or red grapes, sliced in half
1 tbsp. pomegranate seeds
1 tsp black chia seeds
1 tbsp. chopped pistachios
1 tbsp. chopped natural almonds
1 tsp or each sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
1. Bring a medium saucepan of water to the boil and add farro. Cook until tender.
2. Next place farro, milk, cinnamon and sugar in a heavy based saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes, keeping an eye on the pot and stirring occasionally.
3. Spoon farro into a shallow bowl and top with grapes, pomegranate and chopped nuts and seeds.
NOTE: You can top your porridge with any combination of fruit, nuts and seeds.
